Two HDMI ports for 60GB PS3?
An HDMI port will not only be added to the 20GB version of the PS3, but on the 60GB version as well. According to information released on the TGS, the expensive version of the Playstation 3 will now have not one, but two HDMI ports. Why?
Ken Kutaragi explained that the second HDMI can be used to extend your widescreen image even further onto a second TV enabling you to have a super letterbox format. Only a small percentage of people have an HDTV, let alone 2 so this is purely a gimmick feature. The support of two screens could however be a sweet option for multiplayer gaming. Are you as frustrated as I am when playing a racing game on only 50% of your screen? This could be the answer.
They guys over at ps3fanboy did note however that something might have gone wrong in the translation process so that the above might not entirely be true. But then the question remains about why there are two of these sexy HDMI ports on the console.

This was ORIGINALLY PLANNED, its no longer planned because they found out the painful fact that most ps3 games wont even support a single 1080p output let alone 2 … just having an extra port and support for a format doesn’t mean any games will actually support it…
