NBA Ballers: Chosen One announced

Earlier this year, Electronic Arts made the next-gen leap with the NBA Street franchise in the form of NBA Street: Homecourt. Taking notice of the generally positive reception of the game, Midway has decided it’s time to take their NBA Ballers series next-gen as well.

Coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3 early next year, NBA Ballers: Chosen One will once again feature the one-on-one and two-on-two gameplay that the series is known for. Taking part in the Chosen One Tournament, players will travel around the world to visit various basketball courts with the intention of becoming, uh, the Chosen One.

The Chosen One Tournament is based around an invitation-only televised tournament that’s being aired every Thursday night during the NBA offseason. In these head-to-head matches, the player will face off against well-known NBA stars and, after teaching them a lesson, will also gain new super moves. New “action movie” camera angles and a set of fun online modes are promised to be included too.

Any basketball fans looking forward to playing the sport with style this Spring?

I’m a huge basketball fan and I’m totally looking forward to it. Both NBA Ballers and Street have always been awesome games. Street has always been a little too over the top for my tastes (the double dunking thing was entertaining for about five minutves) so I’m really looking forward to this next version of the game.
