Can’t rock with your band using Guitar Hero 3 controller
It’s time to rock out with your cock out, but not if you want to combine your old set of fake music instruments to form a complete Rock Band set. It seems that the Playstation 3 version of Rock Band doesn’t accept Guitar Hero 3 controllers to play with.
At first glance this doesn’t seem very weird because EA loves a good profit on their peripherals every now and then, but the peculiar thing is that the Xbox 360 version of the game does seem to work with Guitar Hero 3 controllers. If you connect the ‘wireless guitar‘ to the Playstation 3, it’ll work in the menu of Rock Band, but when you actually want to start playing it only recognizes the device as a standard controller, which is useless in this case.
According to IGN, representatives of Harmonix and Red Octane weren’t available at the time of writing. We hope to receive word soon about this issue, and if we’re lucky a title update will be released to fix the issue.
So basically nobody can play 2 player bass and lead guitars on the PS3 version until the stand alone guitar is out next year or you buy a WHOLE extra Rock Band set?

guitar hero 3 = $100
rock band = $170
with tax over $1,000
dont forget the 30 hour wait for the ps3 on launch day, and the hours waiting for rockband to come out. try to play your guitar hero guitar on your rock band, wont happen. i think thats really shitty. so i guess ill have to spend another 100 bucks and wait another 9 months for ps3 to rip me off.

thats really wierd ? i ve been hearing alot of rumors saying that you CAN use a gh3 guitar controller as bass or guitar on rock band for any system this is fuckin pissing me off now !!!!!!!! SOME ONE PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS !!!!!!!!
