The PS3’s online functions are still a bit mystical but Ted Price, the president of Insomniac, gave Game informer a lengthy demonstration of what Resistance’s online mode is going to be like. He goes through all the menus and options and shows a large bit of gameplay, he even shows what it’s like to play as the Chimera.

Insomniac president Ted Price recently gave Game Informer an exclusive Resistance: Fall of Man video walkthrough of the multiplayer features in the comfort of editor-in-chief Andy McNamara’s gaming den. See the final multiplayer layout from the menu system to stat readouts and matchmaking to a 40-player Breach free-for-all. Also, check out our extremely rare video footage of what it’s like to play as the evil Chimera.

The whole thing is shown on a huge 70″ plasma screen and it’s worth checking out the fairly high quality Game Informer footage. However GI’s servers are slow as hell, luckily someone was kind enough to put them on Youtube as well. Prince shows a lot of stuff, way too much to list here so I suggest you checkout these vids.

It’s nice to see that Insomniac got the whole online thing down, now we can finally blame the lack of online modes in certain PS3 titles on the lazy devs. The only thing that worries me is the friends list bit, I really really hope that that is some kind of skin for the general centralised PNP buddy list.
