European Rock Band getting exclusive tracks

Europeans have been waiting for what feels like an Age to see Rock Band on these shores, so it only seems right that Harmonix should give us a little something as compensation. Exclusive tracks sound good, and that’s exactly what was revealed at last weekend’s Play.com Live event.

Button Bandits were on-hand at the event to actually play the PAL version of the game, and managed to get a hold of the full track list for the European version. Handily labeled “PAL Exclusive tracks” on the sheet, the following ten songs will apparently be right there on the disc when the game finally hits stores, er, soonish:

  • Blur “Beattlebum” (English)
  • Oasis “Rock ‘n’ roll star” (Englsih)
  • Tokio Hotel “Through the Monsoon” (English)
  • Muse “Hysteria” (English)
  • Les Wamaps “Manu Chao” (French)
  • Indochine “L’Aventurier” (French)
  • Playmo “New Wave” (French)
  • Die Toten Hosen “Hier Kommt Alex” (German)
  • Juli “Perfekte Welle” (German)
  • H-Block X “Countdown to Insanity” (German)

Certainly not a bad addition to the already substantial amount of content. It’s not clear whether North American rockers will get the chance to download the content at a later date or not, however this would make sense. For now though, Americans will have to dream about these tracks, while Europeans dream of actually playing the game.
