Mercenaries 2 coming in August [Update]

Anyone who cannot wait to start blowing things up all over the place will have to wait until the 31st August to play Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, as a new trailer has confirmed that the game’s development is going extremely well.

Update: CVG have confirmed with EA that Europe will see the game in the same week, on the 5th September.

It’s been a bumpy old ride for Mercs 2; first it was a PS3 only game, then rumours circulated that the 360 would be seeing it after all but nothing official, then 360 dev kits were spotted lying around Pandemic’s development studios. Finally, once EA became publisher, it was officially confirmed. However it has since seen a delay, as it was originally scheduled for November of last year.

Now back on course and looking good, there’s a lot to look forward to when the game hits at the end of August. Is this a day one purchase for any of you?
