New Rock Band DLC revealed; third album coming June 26
A good deal of Rock Band news has just hit our mailbox, so let’s get right to it. As is the case every week, Harmonix has lifted the veil on what new downloadable songs will be coming to Rock Band on Tuesday next week. As well as that, the developer has also set a release date for the game’s third full downloadble album, the Pixies’ Doolittle. Lastly, an eagle-eyed Rock Band fan has recently spotted a handful of unannounced tracks on a TV commercial that are verly likely to make their way into the game sometime in the near future.
In the week of June 17, the following tracks (all master recordings) will be added to Rock Band:
- “Afterlife” (Avenged Sevenfold)
- “Critical Acclaim” (Avenged Sevenfold)
- “Hammerhead” (The Offspring)
- “Rock N Roll Dream” (Crooked X)
All songs will be available at the price of $1.99, save for Crooked X’s “Rock N Roll Dream” which will cost $0.99. Given that there’s no price, nor mention of a four-pack, it appears these tunes will be downloadable only individually.
Next, we’ve known that the Pixies’ album hit Doolittle will be the third album to hit Rock Band since the announcement of the first full album, but today sees Harmonix announce its release date – June 26. A single track will go for $1.99, while the full album will be available for $18.99. Here’s the list of tracks (again, all master recordings) that will join the already available “Wave of Mutilation:”
- “Crackity Jones”
- “Dead”
- “Debaser”
- “Gouge Away”
- “Here Comes Your Man”
- “Hey”
- “I Bleed”
- “La la Love You”
- “Monkey Gone To Heaven”
- “Mr Grieves”
- “No 13 Baby”
- “Silver”
- “Tame”
- “There Goes My Gun”
Last but not least, while watching Jackass, a Rock Band fan from ScoreHero forum recently saw a commercial for the MTV2 pack and noticed three yet-to-be-announced tracks, next to which was a “NOT READY TO TEST” note:
- “Aesthetics of Hate” (Machine Head)
- “Breed” (Nirvana)
- “Burn” (Nine Inch Nails)
We’ll be sure to let you know when Harmonix officially announces the above tracks.
Thanks to No Fear Man for notifying us about the third album news.
