I wouldn’t hold your breath Styx, as backwards compatibility has been removed from the 40gb version it is going to require software emulation to play PS2 games, from what has been said that is very very tricky task. Hopefully they will manage it i have BC 60gb PS3 and i would certainly buy some PS2 games although not many. Shadow of the Colossus though would be a definite buy as you say along with a few others.

This would be sweet because I wouldn’t mind playing MGS2 again. Through Shadow of the Colossus on their, and I’m sold!

This is no different than the Xbox Originals. Even though PS3 already has downloadable PS1 games, why is it taking them so long for them to add PS2 games?

Sony’s Patrick Seybold has said “At this point, we haven’t made any announcements, and there are no plans for PS2 downloadable titles on PS3″.

My guess some saddo has done a bit of photoshopping.
