Project Origin renamed and dated
Warner Bros. has announced that it has acquired the F.E.A.R. name and license back from Sierra, whose parent company has since merged with Activision to become Activison Blizzard, and consequently renamed the game to F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin. Additionally, the publisher has also announced when the game is to ship to retail stores next year.
Initially thought to be out by the end of this year, the F.E.A.R. sequel is now scheduled to creep onto store shelves on February 10, 2009 in North America and the 13th in Europe (yes, that’s Friday the 13th). If you’re wondering why they don’t just ditch the Project Origin subtitle, it’s because the folks at Warner Bros. and Monolith are men/women of their words.
