Far Cry 2 to feature four multiplayer modes
In a Eurogamer LiveText interview, Far Cry 2 producer Louis-Pierre Pharand confirmed that the upcoming sequel to Far Cry will come packaged with four multiplayer modes, when it releases to retail on October 24 in standard and limited editions.
Like almost any other first-person shooter on the market, Far Cry 2 will feature the standard fare of multiplayer modes (read: Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch), Capture the Flag Diamond, and Uprising, a “modified version of VIP.”
Pharand also had this to say about the multiplayer:
“We decided that all persistency will occur within a match or a define series of matches. That way, gamers will have a taste of all our great guns quickly. You will get upgrades within classes and it will allow you to be more tactical in your progression, depending of the type maps you play.”
Throw the fantastic map editor into the mix and gamers are in for one great multiplayer experience.
