AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack announced
Electronic Arts’ Rock Band 2 already features one track from the much-celebrated rock band AC/DC, which is a first as far as music videogames are concerned. To top this off, the publisher has today announced AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack, a “fully-featured, standalone extension” of Rock Band 1 and 2.
The game will feature the master recordings of the band’s best live performances. In other words, all the tracks from Live at Donington, the DVD recording of the AC/DC show at Castle Donington on 17 August 1991, will be included on the disc.
- “Thunderstruck”
- “Shoot to Thrill”
- “Back in Black”
- “Hell Ain’t a Bad Place to Be”
- “Heatseeker”
- “Fire Your Guns”
- “Jailbreak”
- “The Jack”
- “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”
- “Moneytalks”
- “Hells Bells”
- “High Voltage”
- “Whole Lotta Rosie”
- “You Shook Me All Night Long”
- “T.N.T.”
- “Let There Be Rock”
- “Highway To Hell”
- “For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)”
Scheduled for release in the US this November and Europe, Australia, and New Zealand in early December, AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack will retail for $39.88/39.99 EUR/29.99 GBP on the PS3 and $29.88/29.99 EUR/19.99 GBP on the PS2. Players will be able to export all the eighteen tracks to Rock Band 1 and 2 by entering “a special export authentication code.”
Said Paul DeGooyer, MTV’s Senior Vice President of Electronic Games & Music:
“When MTV first launched in 1981, we promised that people would ‘never look at music the same way again’ and, with Rock Band, we continue to fulfill this commitment. We’re excited to be part of AC/DC’s and Columbia’s global plan for the release of their new album, DVD and now, videogame. Being the first to present these revered songs in interactive form, exclusively on the Rock Band platform is a true honor. For those about to rock with the AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack, we salute you!”
