Activision Announces PS3 Dates for Upcoming Stimulus Package

With Microsoft’s exclusivity to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s first map pack due to end shortly, Activision today announced the release dates for the Stimulus Package on the PlayStation 3. The upcoming content will be available in North America on May 4th, with Australia and Europe having to wait it out until the 5th. PC gamers can expect worldwide release of the highly anticipated content on May 4th.

The Stimulus Package, priced at a somewhat controversially high $15, contains three brand new multiplayer maps in addition to the popular Crash and Overgrown playgrounds present in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Last week’s monumentally successful Xbox Live release broke numerous records, with a reported 1 million people downloading the content on the first day. However, the launch was not without its hiccups, with gamers the world over reportedly unable to access the content they had paid for. No doubt Sony will be hoping for a smoother, and less embarrassing, dispatch come May 4th.
