Making us sit tight for a little while longer to see its new action-adventure, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, in video form (that should change by E3 2010), Namco Bandai today sent out a batch of new screenshots for the game.

The eight new screenshots give us a sneak peek into the opening moments of the game in which the protagonist Monkey disposes of enemy forces in order to get the hell off of a slave ship. As Namco Bandai reveals, the segment ends with the ship crash landing with Monkey still on board.

Monkey soon after unites with a technologically savvy woman called Trip who, seeing that the brute is her only hope to get back home alive, hacks into a slave headband and places it on him, thus bonding them together. Think the Unbreakable Vow between Narcissa and Snape in Harry Potter.

Helmed by Ninja Theory, the creators of Playstation 3 exclusive Heavenly Sword, Enslaved is planned for a late 2010 release on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
