Spoon, P.O.D. To Make Rock Band Debut Next Week
Indie rock band Spoon and alternative metal rockers P.O.D. will make their debuts in the Rock Band Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii.
Spoon will make their Rock Band debut next week with a four pack of songs spanning the band’s career.“Trouble Comes Running” and“Got Nuffin” will both be added to the Rock Band Music Store from the band’s seventh studio release, Transference, which hit shelves January 2010 and debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Spoon Pack 01 will also include“I Turn My Camera On” from 2005’s Gimme Fiction, which was ranked by Rhapsody as No. 19 of the 100 Best Albums of the Decade; as well as“Don’t You Evah” from 2007’s Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, which was named in the Top 10 of both Pitchfork and Rolling Stone’s Top 50 Albums of 2007. Spoon is currently on a world tour in support of Transference.
Alternative metal rockers P.O.D. will also make their Rock Band debut next week with“Alive,” from the band’s fourth album, Satellite. It was released in September 2001 and debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Satellite became the band’s best-selling album, selling more than 3 million copies in the United States, and“Alive” garnered a Grammy Award nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance. P.O.D. have said that they are recording a new album, due out in 2010.
These tracks will be available for purchase as“Spoon Pack 01” as well as individual tracks on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system, and as individual tracks only on Wii.
