Electronic Arts strategic life simulation game, The Sims 3, will be released for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii on October 26th, 2010. The console version of the highly popular PC game has tweaked controls, a new user interface and fun extras that include karma Powers and a Reward System.

The new ‘Karma Powers’ is the ability to cast a unique spell that will benefit your Sim in a variety of imaginative ways. An example of uses include, “Cosmic Curse” onto other Sims to induce flatulence and make them less attractive, or “Best Day Ever” where everything will go right for your Sim within a time-limit - they can go to work and get a promotion, then come home to find an attractive neighbor at their doorstep! Karma Powers do have side effects too where you can be turned into a Monster and even lose all your hard earned cash.

The ‘Rewards System’ will reward your in game efforts after completing set challenges where you can unlock new building upgrades, furniture, clothing and hair styles. The challenges include “make a BFF” (befriend someone in the game), “get a promotion at work” or “have woo hoo” (sexual relations) with other Sims.

The console version of ‘The Sims 3′, features the same angled top-town isometric view point, but has closer camera controls that let you move the cursor around by using the analog sticks on an Xbox 360 and PS3 controller or pointing at the screen with the Wii Remote.

The game will be released on October 26th in the US and October 29th in the EU
