Burnout Dominator announced
This is not the same as the previously announced Burnout 5 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, but Burnout Dominator is an entirely new version developed specifically for the Playstation 2 and PSP.
Where Burnout 5 is an evolvement of the series going somewhere completely different, Burnout Dominator will go back to its roots of where the series left off. No more traffic checking or plunging your vehicle into a bunch of other cars for massive damage, but you’ll be racing for your victory instead of doing freaky stuff.
Burnout Dominator challenges gamers to face off against a series of hot-blooded rivals in brutal tests of aggressive driving techniques where performing burnouts gives you the advantage and multiplies your score potential. For the ultimate nerve-wracking experience, Burnout Dominator takes you to the very edge of control, punishing the smallest mistakes and rewarding drivers for taking outrageous risks.
Nick Channon, who did some very crappy games in the past like the Harry Potter games will be producing this title. According to him, the game will focuss on the driving aspects instead of the stuff we’ve seen in later iterations. Unfortunately he doesn’t really tell us the things we want to know about actual game modes and perhaps online racing.
“The series was born on the PlayStation 2, and Burnout Dominator is about celebrating the essence of Burnout,” said Nick Channon, senior producer of Burnout Dominator. “Burnout Dominator focuses on the reckless skill-based racing and fear of crashing that fuelled the first games.”
The game is being developed by EA’s UK Studio team in Guildford, UK and will be released somewhere in 2007.

Having played Burnout Revenge on the 360, I think I’ll wait for Burnout 5.
this game is a HUGE let down. mainly because it does NOT work with my logitech force feedback steering wheel. i find this TOTALLY sucks. as i assumed since my wheel works just fine with the previously released “Takedown” that it would work. going back to a controller after using my wheel is NOT an option. a wasted 40$
