Loco Roco, it’s a game about blobs. It’s a game about blobs on PSP. Blobs that sing. Blobs that, whilst appearing to behave like the dangerous substance mercury by bonding together into bigger blobs, are quite harmless. And according to an article translated from French via BabelFish and interpreted by PS3 Fanboy, the blobs might be making it to Playstation 3. What the hell?

Jeux-France has reported the latest edition of Electronic Gaming Monthly had an advertisement for the British magazine PSM3, which indicated an article for Loco Roco on PS3. UK’s EDGE magazine featured the advertisement also and Kotaku reported that the Sony Trade Marketing extranet puts a date of June 23, 2007, next to Loco Roco for PS3.

To cap things off, [CFD] El Captain posted on neoGAF forums an image of Loco Roco’s blobbing it up in an achievements booth.

What does all this mean? Despite many, many theories on the nature of Loco Roco on PS3, no one is any the wiser. It could be a release of the PSP version in HD for download, it might be Loco Roco 2. Will it use SIXAXIS control? Will it be Blu-ray or downloadable? You’ll have to wait and find out. But not long.

Presumably you’ll know when the PSM3 issue containing all the juicy Loco Roco information hits the shelves in the UK, today.
