European Playstation Store getting Playstation classics

Popular PS1 titles are already available for a while in both Japan and North America, but Europeans will soon have the pleasure to download these games in their own Playstation Store as well. Starting next week, you’ll be able to download various titles.

Just like with the Virtual Console on Nintendo’s Wii, each region has different games and thus we can’t predict which games will become available in Europe. Pricing hasn’t been revealed either but judging from other content in the European Playstation Store, it’s unlikely they’ll screw us badly. It’s also possible to play these games on your Playstation 3 since firmware 1.70 where it was previously only possible to transfer them to you PSP.

Destruction Derby, i know it would look piss poor but still there has never been a game to come close to the carnage on the figure of 8 track.

Other than that Bishi Bashi(totally mental fun) and maybe Rival Schools which is still one of the best ever 3d beat-em-ups ever made.

The euro store is drier than(insert really dry object here)! these games would be a welcome addition. side note: does europe have the ninja gaiden sigma? cause the south african store doesnt have it and are the ps1 games region coded?

Nope no bloody sign of the ninja gaiden demo, and yes the euro store has had just about nothing added since release date. It feels just like XBL did about a year or so ago, like a barren waste land of empty promises.

Dry object - A nun’s cunt in June.

Destruction Derby 2 was better though, what with the cork screw jump!

I thought DD2 lost it’s appeal by going to normal the tracks were poor, DD1 a game never bettered in its sub-genre IMHO.
