Jericho gets more screens and a site

If your name is Clive Barker you’ve got a reputation to maintain for combining terrible horror with out of this world fantasy elements. After the announcement late last year of his pet project Clive Barker’s Jericho, we’d already seen a few screenshots that made sufficiently clear this was no Viva Pinata, but the game’s official website and a bunch of new screens hint that this game might even make Condemned 2 seem like a walk in a sunny park.

First we’ll let the new screens, courtesy of Gamersyde, do the talking:

Apart from some minor aliasing issues, which should probably be fixed before the game’s release and might also be attributed to these shots being from the PC version, these shots definitely surpass Condemned’s horror setting, hopefully augmented by fitting music and sound effects. What could spoil the game is that it seems to depend on shooting mostly, while Condemned’s superior quality could at least partially be attributed to its extensive use of close-quarters melee combat.

The game’s official site entirely fits the scary atmosphere:

Users have the opportunity to enter the disturbed mind of the author and experience the paranormal game world of Clive Barker’s Jericho they become immersed in the story and surroundings of the game.

Have a look around if it’s your kind of game, but don’t blame us if you lose some sleep over it. The game itself is slated for a Q4 release, right on time for those long, dark and rainy winter nights.

Thanks Ninjer for the submit!
