Confirmed: SIXAXIS set to rumble
There’s been talk, talk and more talk of the Playstation 3’s SIXAXIS controller getting it’s rumble but nothing quite official. Finally, we’ve got the first Sony endorsed confirmation that the SIXAXIS will rumble.
Brian Ashcraft from Kotaku writes, “Today, a Sony Computer Entertainment employee confirmed directly to me that the SIXAXIS with rumble is coming.”
That’s all the confirmation we have so far. While it’s a fairly obvious inclusion for the SIXAXIS redesign, especially following Sony’s kiss and make up with Immersion, the rumble producer, this is not yet an OFFICIAL confirmation. You decide whether it’s still rumor or not but Ashcraft is usually spot on the money.

I thought the Sixaxis couldnt work with rumble…………..
Because of legal difficulties with Immersion, the company that produces the force feedback technology.

Problems supposedly associated with SIXAXIS and rumble were because of issues surrounding battery life. It would appear, if you read the other articles linked from this one, that the PS3 will receive a better version of the rumble-tech.
