“Loco Roco will be back” said Phil Harrison last year and he was right, when at the Playstation Premier event in Tokyo they showed off Buu Buu Cocoreccho! by Loco Roco, a ’sequel’ that’s more like an extra chapter. The first footage for the game can be found inside.

Loco Roco Cocoreccho! is a Playstation 3 downloadable title which means it’ll only be playable on the Playstation 3 and not on the PSP on which the series originated. But PSP lovers fear not, Joystiq got to talk to Loco Roco game director Tsutomu Kouno at the Develop conference and when asked if there will be a Loco Roco sequel for the PSP he said: “Yes, there will. I’m thinking about a sequel for the PSP right now. I got a lot of feedback from players that they bought a PSP just to play Loco roco so I feel like I have to make a sequel for them”.

People that enjoyed the first Loco Roco game will be thrilled to get their hands on this one. It looks weirder than ever and it has high definition graphics, what more do we want. No release date for either of the games have been revealed unfortunately.
