F.E.A.R. sequel now known as Project Origin
The “Name Your Fear” contest, hosted by Monolith, kicked off in early June asking fans to come up with a decent name for their spiritual successor to the horror FPS F.E.A.R. Soon after the close of the contest, the developer then picked three finalists which the public got to vote on. Now, nearly a month later, the developer has finally announced the name that will define Monolith’s semi-new franchise.
Out of the final three names, Project Origin has won out, beating the other two names, Dead Echo and Dead Signal. For those not digging the title, you’re not alone. Thankfully, Sean Comer, the winner of the contest, was on hand to fill us in on his chosen title.
I didn’t believe in changing the name for the Sequel to F.E.A.R. to something completely off subject/plot. I wanted the new title to be still very much involved with the original, and as you know you are the Origin Project, so the plot can evolve around you.
The “Project Origin” title is perfect for this game because it sticks with the original plot and opens up more doors to the past. We know very little about yourself and more about Alma and Fettel, but what about you?
Story related then, fair enough. Is Project Origin an appropriate title for the sequel in your opinion? If not, what title would you choose?

I Would Call it S.E.A.R.
Second.Encounter.Assualt.Recon
I like it. Project Origin has a kind of bleak, corporate feel which fits perfect with the real threat (I consider Alma to be justified in killing everyone; that female voice on the phone messages however seems to be up to no good).
On a side note, I hope we get to run into the original Point Man in the sequel (maybe even as a final battle where he can use slo-mo too…).
