If there’s a games convention that really puts a spotlight on Japanese made games, it’s none other than TGS. With the convention in full swing, there’s never been a better moment for said games to shine. One such title is Capcom’s up-and-coming Devil May Cry 4 which has no doubt made quite a splash amongst the attendees with a brand new trailer and several new screenshots.

Despite the trailer’s somewhat disappointing length, it’s easily the best released so far for a number of reasons. One is that we finally get to see new enemies and a lot of them. Ranging from little agile reptiles to heavy armored knights to menacing looking wolves that look like they’ve been taken right from Hades’ kennels, the monstrosities players will have to face off against look like they’re asking for nothing but trouble. Another interesting thing shown, though just briefly, is the metallic gauntlets and boots worn by Dante. A new melee weapon to join Dante’s legendary Sparda sword? Most likely.

Next, up until now Dante seemed to be the only character to make a come back in this fourth chapter of the series. That’s all changed now. As revealed by the five new screenshots below, Trish from the original game and Lady from Dante’s Awakening will also be making an appearance, albeit probably not in playable form. Seeing the two luscious vixens having a relaxed conversation with Dante at what looks like the Devil May Cry Shop, it appears they have teamed up with the famous devil hunter to provide some help in demon slaying.

Devil May Cry 4 is slated for a Q1 2008 release on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
