Oblivion: Shivering Isles expansion imminent for PS3
There’s little doubting the reputation of Bethesda’s sprawling RPG adventure The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion – its critical and consumer success speaks for itself across all the platforms it calls home. And, despite the game already having run its roots into the industry for more than a year and a half, the adventure is set to continue for PlayStation 3 fans this coming November.
Moreover, Bethesda Softworks and ZeniMax Media have revealed that the award-winning “Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles” expansion pack is inbound to target on the PS3 – for those already in ownership of the original (again, award-winning) single-player RPG spectacular.

This will likely arrive as good news for those PS3/Oblivion owners frustrated by the recent arrival of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion ‘Game of the Year Edition’, which comes bundled with the Shivering Isles expansion.
“With more than 30 hours of new gameplay, Shivering Isles allows you to explore an entirely new plane of Oblivion – the realm of Sheogorath, the Daedric Prince of Madness,” outlines the official release. “Shivering Isles features a bizarre landscape split between the two sides – Mania and Dementia –filled with vast, twisting dungeons mirroring the roots of the trees they are buried within. Sheogorath himself looks to you to be his champion and defend his realm and its inhabitants from destruction as you discover all new items, ingredients, spells, and much more.”
Set to deliver yet more “free-form gameplay, unprecedented graphics, cutting edge A.I., and character voices,” as provided by notable Hollywood icons, the Shivering Isles expansion disc will arrive at retail on November 20 and is rated as ‘M for Mature’ by the ESRB.
